With things that go on in day to day life, I feel like we as humans have been named wrong.
When we think of humans, we think of humanity and humaneness. But there are some people in the world who show such a lack of these traits, that it makes me wonder if we should be called something else entirely. Perhaps we should be 'cruels', which inspires cruelness and cruelty. I believe that these traits seem to be more in line with things that I read in the news lately.
Where did we go so wrong? Who was the first person to murder anybody and thought it was great so they told their friends to do it too, who then told their friends, and their friends. I understand that in the past wars have been fought, and people have died. But way back in the past, it at least feels like wars were fought for a reason. While the reason may not have be legitimate nowadays, fighting for land and conquering countries was how it was done. People had a purpose and a cause.
Nowadays you can't pick up a newspaper without reading about a brutal murder over a spilled drink or a stolen Mars Bar.
